What the program is

When you check in at a participating body shop, on the shop's tablet, your own phone, or the shop's website, you can choose to get text updates about your repair. If you do, the shop can text you:

  • a confirmation that your check-in or estimate request was received;
  • status updates as the repair moves along, such as waiting on insurance, waiting on parts, in repair, and ready for pickup;
  • answers from shop staff when you text the shop with a question;
  • a thank-you after pickup, which may include a link to review the shop.

These texts are about your repair only. The program doesn't send advertising or promotions.

How you sign up

During check-in, you'll see a choice that is not selected in advance. Texts are sent only if you choose "Yes, text me". Next to that choice, you'll see this consent statement, with the shop's name filled in:

By choosing "Yes, text me", I agree to receive automated text messages from [Shop name] about my repair, including status updates and pickup notices, at the number I provided. Up to 10 messages per repair. Consent is not a condition of service. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

We store the exact wording you saw and the time you agreed with your check-in. Consent is not a condition of service or of any purchase. The shop will check in and repair your vehicle whether or not you choose to get texts.

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies with your repair, up to about 10 messages per repair. Msg & data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT also work. You'll get one text confirming that you've been unsubscribed, and no more texts after that. To start again, reply START.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any message, or email support@smartappslab.com. For questions about your repair itself, call the shop.
